Not so Easy Options, Rashad vs Rampage

If you've never watched the UFC, then you are more civilized then I dare dream to be. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm obsessed, I know quite well that it's all a slightly more orchestrated version of WWE, with a little less theatrics, more MMA, and Dana White as the conductor. That doesn't mean that I don't watch, or more importantly, bet on the outcome.

Yes, I've spent a lot of time and made a considerable amount of money watching at least half of the last 113 bouts. I did so easily knowing beforehand without any doubt who the victor would be, therefore making my bets, and spending my time watching and knowing that I would make it all back tenfold. That's what kept me coming back to the sport. The bloodshed, and rivals never really meant all that much to me.

That's until UFC 114. I admit, I have totally lost control of my delicate middle aged female emotions. Let me state for the record, that I, for once, do not think that I am confident enough to wager on this outcome.

You see, like trading options, the last uncountable fights that I have financially participated in, I've been able to profit bull or bear, with no emotional attachment at all. Yet, this is different, I have grown to like both Evan and Quinton, not only because they are so different, but because I have been following for so long, their opposite personalities have undeniably rubbed off on me in so many ways. Rashad Evans has the skills, Quinton Jackson, the chin and the power, and finally I find that the line between good and evil is one big blur. If you don't know what I'm saying, then be proud, you haven't given in like I have.

So, I am not going to attempt to guess who will prevail. I worry that my instincts will be incorrect, and that Dana will have finally won me over. That doesn't mean that I still won't watch, or actually make an non-monetary bet on the outcome, considering that there is still a week left until show time.
